When I started consistently winning 6-figure government contracts it all came down to these 6 things:

Before winning 6-figure contracts, I was:

❌ Focusing on multiple agencies at once
❌ Bidding on opportunities outside my primary NAIC Code
❌ Generalizing what I offer and trying to appeal to all agencies at once
❌ Wasting hours on SAM.gov and other government sites without a clear strategy
❌ No structured bid process beyond finding opportunities and writing proposals
❌ Missing numerous submission deadlines 😢

For example, if you provide IT services, the government might issue a contract for a complete design-build project for an administrative building. Within that project, they’ll need cabling set up for computers before drywall is installed. The construction company handling the project will subcontract the IT services, but the entire contract falls under NAIC Code 236220.
