Did you know that on some contracts up to 50% of the project can be subcontracted out? Maybe that’s why some contractors select being a subcontractor over a prime. Subcontracting can be just as lucrative as being a prime contractor.
Subcontracting is a great way to generate cash flow and past performance as a government contractor all at the same time!!
Even once you have the capacity to sit in the prime position, you can still use subcontracting as a strategy to win government contracts where being the prime is just not the best approach for you on that particular contract.
